Nympha Quinto Frias
As a trained educator with a Bachelor in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Management from Pangasinan State University, I believe that dance is a powerful expression of the heart—a way to inspire, connect, and share joy with others. My love for dance began in childhood and flourished when I became a member of the University’s Matalunggaring Dance Troupe. With 21 years in the academe, transitioning from teacher to school administrator, I actively contributed to the District Performing Group, helping enrich our dances, songs, and cultural traditions. The person I am today is shaped by education and lifelong experiences that eventually led me to my journey in Canada.
Currently, as a Settlement Practitioner with SUCCESS, I support new immigrants in adapting to their new environment—an advocacy aligned with Anahaw’s mission of community and cultural connection. I am also involved in civic and religious organizations, including the Association of Basistans in Metro Vancouver and Couples for Christ – OLGC.
Being part of the Anahaw Filipino Canadian Performing Arts Society of BC is both an honor and a responsibility. Together, we celebrate diverse talents and proudly share Filipino culture with the world—dancing with hearts that speak the language of love.
